Solar is sold locally, one conversation at a time.
Nobody wakes up and decides to buy a solar system. They ask somebody they already trust: a friend, a neighbour, a colleague, the electrician who rewired their kitchen, the shop where they buy their cable. That conversation happens hundreds of times a week across the island, and most of the time we are not in it.
We would rather pay the person who is having it than spend the same money on advertising. So: you recommend us, we survey, quote and install, and you earn a commission once your customer has paid for their installation in full.

A percentage of every sale
On every installation you send us that is paid in full. The bigger the project, the more you earn, and your rate is agreed when you join, so you know it before you recommend anybody.
Your own partner code
A short code that never changes. Share it by word of mouth, on WhatsApp or on social media. Your customer gives it when they contact us, and the sale is credited to you.
Nothing to buy, nothing to sell
No fee, no stock, no target and no contract period. You point people at us and we do the rest. If you never send anybody, nothing happens.

We approve your application
We email you your partner code and your commission rate. Send a photo of your ID card and a proof of address to partners@solarex.mu: we check them before we pay your first commission.
You share your code
Give it to the people you recommend. The survey, the quotation, the CEB paperwork and the installation are all ours: you are not selling solar.
You get paid
Your commission is recorded the day your customer signs, and paid once they have paid us in full. You can call and ask where it stands at any time.
Anyone 18 or over who knows people.
Friends and family who ask for your advice. Neighbours, colleagues, your community, the people who follow you online. Shops and trades too: hardware stores, electricians, builders, architects, estate agents. Anybody who hears someone say "I have been thinking about solar."
You do not need a shop, a company or a BRN. You need to be 18 or over, with a valid NIC or passport, a mobile number and an email address where we can reach you.

Who can join?
Anyone aged 18 or over in Mauritius or Rodrigues. You do not need a shop, a company or a BRN. If you do have a business, tell us on the form.
Why do you need my ID?
Because we pay you, we need to know who you are and that you are 18 or over. You give your NIC or passport number on the form. Then you email a photo of both sides of your ID card (or the photo page of your passport) and a proof of address to partners@solarex.mu, or show us the card in person. You are never asked to upload it to this website, and we delete the copies once we have checked them.
How does the commission work?
You earn a percentage of the equipment in every installation you bring us (installation fees and VAT are not included), so the larger the project, the more you earn. Your rate is agreed with you when you are approved, which means you know exactly where you stand before you recommend anybody.
When exactly do I get paid?
Once your customer has paid us in full. Your commission is recorded the day they sign, so it exists and can be checked from then on, but it is released only after their final payment, which falls due when the installation is completed. Solar equipment comes by sea and an installation takes time, so this is honestly not quick, and we would rather tell you that now.
How do you know the customer came from me?
Your partner code. Your customer types it on our contact form or our calculator, uses your personal link, or reads it out to whoever they speak to, and it is recorded against them from their very first enquiry. When a customer gives your code on our website, we email you to let you know. If they forget to mention it, call us. We can still attach it, and we would rather fix it than lose it.
Do I have to sell or explain solar?
Not at all. Point them at us and you are done. The survey, the sizing, the quotation, the CEB paperwork, the installation and the commissioning are all ours, and so is anything technical they ask afterwards.
Does it cost me anything to join?
No. There is no fee, no stock to hold, no target to hit and no minimum period. If you never refer anybody, nothing happens.
Programme terms, in plain words.
These terms are between you and Le Douyé Ltée (BRN C08078883), the company that trades as Solarex and pays your commission. Below, “we” and “Solarex” mean that company.
- You must be 18 or over, and give your real name, date of birth and NIC or passport number.
- You become a partner when we approve your application, and we then give you your partner code. We may refuse an application. We pay commission only once we have checked your ID.
- A customer is credited to you when they give your code, whether on our website, through your link, or by telling our team. If a customer gives more than one code, the first one counts.
- Your commission is a percentage of the equipment your customer buys, excluding installation fees and VAT, agreed with you when you are approved. It is due only once your customer has paid us in full, and it is paid less tax deducted at source (TDS). If the sale is cancelled or not paid in full, no commission is due.
- You may not make promises on Solarex's behalf (about prices, products or dates) or present yourself as working for Solarex.
- We may suspend a partner who breaks these terms.
- You can leave the programme at any time by telling us.
